The Waterhousea Floribunda is quickly becoming a popular choice of tree in Victoria, with beautiful and vibrant white flowering through Spring and into Summer, with the occasional red leafing. With an impeccable ability to grow as both a beautiful standing tree, and a luscious smaller shrub, the Lilly Pilly is a great choice for any landscape. A native tree usually found in Northern New South Wales and Queensland, it will tolerate frost but can be affected by drought. The Waterhousea will grow up 9-12 metres tall, at 4-6 metres wide, but with a little bit of pruning and trimming can be turned into both a screening tree and hedge. Like most other Lilly’s, the Waterhousea will produce a berry; a lightly coloured pink berry that will shed quickly but not in heaped amounts.
This tree is predominantly used in streetscapes, parks, and gardens, and thrives in moist soil conditions.
