While similar to its relation the Sideroxylon, the Rosea will come into its own during flowering season, with a vibrant reddish to pink flowers standing against the otherwise blue to grey green leaf, creating a natural and colourful sight. With an amazing ability to thrive in a smoggy environment and a relatively fast growing tree, it makes it a popular choice to plant in streetscapes or parks, but will make an ideal small flowering tree for a backyard garden, where it will attract native birds with its beautiful flowers, and set a scene of vibrant colours and native sounds.

 

This tree is predominantly used in streetscapes, parks, and gardens, and thrives in most soil conditions.
