It grows best in acidic, well drained soils but will struggle in areas with prolonged waterlogged ground. The Melliodora produces a beautiful, fragrant white flower in Spring through Summer, that will fill the air with an aromatic scent. It is fast growing, with a single trunk and a spreading canopy, making an excellent shade tree. The Melliodora is a wonderful tree to attract native birds to your garden, creating a colourful atmosphere of both sight and sound. It is tolerant of both frost and drought conditions.
This tree is predominantly used in streetscapes, parks, and gardens, and thrives in most soil conditions.
