Lightwood is a summer flowering tree found in many locations throughout Victoria. It is often grown in an urban environment due to its relatively short height, tending to reach a maximum of only 8m around Melbourne areas. Lightwood are strong, grow almost anywhere (including both dry and wet grounds), fast growing, and have beautiful summer flowers.

This tree is predominantly used in streetscapes, parks and gardens and tolerates many soil conditions.
