With a well rounded crown, a glossy green leaf, and a stunning deep red Autumn colour, the Scarlet Oak creates a picturesque landscape in any site .One of the many attractive features of the Scarlet Oak is its lower branching canopy, while still maintaining a nice shading area, it also provides a handsome shape to the tree. Producing a more oval-like acorn, and a nice dark grey bark, the Scarlet Oak is simply one of the best. While similar to the Pin Oak, a more majestic Autumn colouring and hairless leaf help distinguish the two from each other.

This tree is predominately used for larger parks and gardens, and wider streetscapes. It will thrive in moist, acidic soils, however the Scarlet Oak will survive in just about any soil conditions. Grows best in full sun.
