The Pyrus Capital presents a luscious, shiny green foliage, turning to a reddish-purple during autumn. This, accompanied with a column like growth, keep it a highly popular species year after year. A wonderful display of white flowers during spring, gives this tree just another tool in its arsenal to stand out amongst the crowd. With its strong single leader and narrow form, it can be used masterfully to create a wonderful screen, or simply as a free-standing ornament in any garden. Perfect in width-restricted areas, such as narrow median strips and around carparks. It thrives in a wide range of soil types, and can handle seasonally wet areas.

This tree is predominately used for streetscapes, parks, and gardens, but also makes an exceptional screening tree. Typically performing well in most soil conditions, they do prefer full sun with well drained areas.
