An extremely hardy tree, the Pyrus Bradford is a popular choice throughout Victoria. The Bradford keeps a nice shape, growing broader with age. A nice oval shaped leaf with glossy green foliage, turning to a red-orange like colour during Autumn, means the Bradford will never go unnoticed. It is adaptable to a wide range of areas with little root spreading, but to keep a good looking shape and form, regular pruning is recommended.
This tree is predominately used for parks and gardens, screening, and streetscapes. Typically performing well in most soil conditions, including slightly alkaline soils and even intermittently wet, heavy soils.
